2. Role of an Exam Paper Valuer
- • To evaluate students’ answer sheets according to the marking scheme.
- • To ensure uniformity and impartiality in awarding marks.
- • To maintain confidentiality of exam-related materials.
- • To submit results within the prescribed timeline.
3. Duties & Responsibilities
Before Evaluation
- Attend training/orientation sessions (if organized).
- Read and understand the official Marking Scheme.
During Evaluation
- Mark answers strictly as per guidelines.
- Use red/green color pen for marking.
- Write marks clearly in the margin.
- Write remarks to guide how to improve answers for better marks in final exam.
- Maintain consistency while awarding marks for similar answers.
After Evaluation
- Ensure no question remains unmarked.
- Sign and date each evaluated answer script.
- Submit evaluated scripts.
4. Rules & Code of Conduct
- • Maintain confidentiality of answer sheets and marks.
- • Do not discuss or disclose evaluation details with anyone.
- • Avoid bias on the basis of religion, caste, gender, personal opinion, or handwriting.
- • Complete evaluation within the stipulated deadline.
5. Quality Control Measures
- Head Examiner/Moderator will randomly check evaluated scripts for consistency.
- Discrepancies may lead to revaluation/rechecking.
- Continuous monitoring to prevent inflated or strict marking.
6. Confidentiality & Security
- Do not photograph, scan, or share scripts.
- Handle online evaluation systems with secure login credentials.
7. Evaluation Methods
- Digital/On-Screen Evaluation (if applicable): Mark directly on scanned scripts with official software.
8. Timeline & Reporting
- Valuers must complete evaluation within the timeline.
- Delay may attract replacement.
9. Eligibility of Exam Paper Valuer
- Minimum Postgraduate in relevant subject (or as prescribed by Board/University).
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience.
- Must undergo training/orientation before evaluation.
10. How Answer Sheets will be Allotted
- For valuation all answer sheets will be available in a central pool.
- Whenever any valuer wants to do valuation, they must make a request — immediately one answer sheet will be allotted.
- Valuation should be done online.
- After finishing the valuation work, the valuer must submit the answer sheet.
- Only then the valuer can request the next answer sheet.
11. Remuneration for Valuation
- For Class 10th: ₹50 Per Paper
- For Class 12th: ₹70 Per Paper
- Payment will be disbursed only in given bank account on monthly basis (between 1st to 7th of every month).
- As per government rules, deductions will be applicable.
12. Do’s & Don’ts for Valuers

- Follow marking scheme strictly.
- Write marks neatly and clearly.
- Stay neutral and fair.
❌ Don’ts:
- Do not award marks on sympathy, handwriting, or guesswork.
- Do not alter marks once finalized without permission.
- Do not share or discuss evaluation details with others.
